They seem to have a lot of options under 4 pounds and it really hits the pricepoint I'm looking for. Anyone know if the ram is user-upgradable?

Also, anyone have experience with these? They seem to be more business oriented, but their batterylife and modular bay that can hold a batter sounds great!
 
Yes, in my experience the fujitsu's are easily RAM upgradeable by the end user. I would check crucial.com and use their site to see exactly what kind of RAM your lifebook would need. Then either choose the crucial (probably available at newegg) or another brand with similar specs.
