I have had a Fuji 1400Zoom for a couple of years and it has served me very well. I do think it is time to upgrade, though.

This cam is expensive I guess, but it offers 6x zoom(GREAT) a respectable 3.1MP which will almost never come up short to the zoom:D

The Hotshoe for adding you own flash is what sold my parents...we can't wait to take awesome pictures with a prof flash..

In addition, the controls are so good that you can take a picture in practically COMPLETE_DARKNESS and it'll look like daytime

I think the shutter is about 1/1000 or 1/2000 and everything else is top notch too...nothing like recording our living room fan at full speed with a high shutter speed

It came out PERECTLY STILL yet in COMPLETE detail...

worth every penny

The SLR style is also good for holding and extroadinary light...

Also support anything from smartmedia and Compact Flash, especially type II; IBM Microdrives....

What is also great is that it accepts both at the same time so either you set a default or it just choices what you want to use or what is available

I can go on and on and on....

They got it @ CC for the 3yr or was it 5yr warranty, but they only paid $50 more than respectable internet sites...

Damn fine (pix;)) camera:D

One question though, what does interpolation do to the end result...I assume it is taking every other line such a HDTV does or am I getting mixed up...

I want to see if the 6MP interpolated that takes up 17MB is actually better than 3.1MP 1.1MB image in any way, shape or form...

I looked at the pics and frankly 3.1MP looks better

so my question is why do they include the interpolated 6MP? ...doesn't seem as if ther is a reason to...

I think you may be thinking of interlacing... i'm not sure though
