Anyways, this is a nice camera. Gave one as a bday gift for my sis- she likes the slim design, sliding cover and metallic chocolate color (comes in pink and silver too)
 
Anybody have one of these?

I'm looking for a portable cam that's good in low-light for fairly close range family shots.

Was doing research a few days ago and it seems the high-iso fuji's do very well in low-light -- but i can't find a review of this particular camera.

I'd prefer SD instead of xD, but for the price I'd probably settle.

Anybody have any other recommendations for low-light capable camera?
I already have a moderately bulky camera with long zoom and IS that works great outdoors -- so I'm only looking for a pocketable camera with at least 3x optical zoom for indoor/low-light pics.

I value image-quality and performance over megapixels.
 
Wow! I hope these cameras are still here in the morning, I need a new one and this is just what I'm looking for...
 
I bought one for my g/f back in Sept from Newegg for $170 something. The anti-shake mechanism is rather disappointing because it merely bumps up iso +flash when enabled; it is not a "true" anti-shake mechanism. IQ on higher ISO (>400) gets watery just like any other cheaper cameras. Other than that, it's a capable camera for casual/light usage.

I too am leery of the "1 post black man" but the price is quite good and the site looks legit. I have heard of them before. Cheapest I can see this elsewhere is at Dell for $127.49.

Reviews for the lazy. Looks like an decent general use camera especially for the price.

So is this essentially a legit deal that seemed unintentionally sketchy/scammy at first 😛? I was ready to run screaming from this thread when I saw three nearly consecutive Junior Member posters.
 
sorry for trying to help. I'm new to the site, yes, but not a scammer. I actually came to the site to see if anyone posted that deal and see people's thoughts on Z5. But, thanks for giving me the benefit of the doubt. A quick check on the company would've told you they are legit. I stumbled across the link thought I would share it. In the future I'll just keep it to myself.

Thanks for the heads up on this deal. Needed a beater camera for my GF and for a C note delivered this hit the spot! Ordered on Friday after you posted and received shipping notice and UPS tracking number today, Monday. Great deal and thanks again for contributing! 🙂
 
I just realized that the seller is about a 10-minute drive from where my parents (and I, formerly) used to live! Cool. I think my parents already put in the order, but I wonder if they could pick it up in-warehouse to save potential shipping woes...

Ordered Sunday night, probably arrived at the dorm Wednesday afternoon (picked it up today).

First impressions, it's a bit chunkier than I thought. Decent camera, a bit noisy, though. Makes me realize how nice my S3IS is.

Just saw a new red one on flea bay for $112 shipped from a seller with lots of good feedback. I got in on the $95 price and haven't seen them for that price since.
