IIRC, Buy.Com has free shipping also. The camera looks well constructed from when I've been out looking at digital cameras. The price seems quite nice - a whole lot better than paying $279.00 + tax at your local BestBuy or CompUSA.

Thanks. Been looking at this camera for a while. My friend got one and it works great. Just bought one from Buy.com. Suuposedly the 15 off coupon does not work with free shipping but in my case it did.

BTW, IMHO, don't think it necessary to go through the hassle of PM at Staples. You've got to pay tax for the camera. I live in Texas so I'd have to pay 8.25% sales tax. It brings the total price up to $213. The price I paid at buy.com minus the 2.5% cashback from stockback is about $217. No need to price match for the sake of four bucks.

Kind of off-topic, but I've got the 2800 and it's a great camera for the amount I paid. Personally, I like Fuji's products and their build quality is top notch from what i've seen. Actually fiddled with a 2600 at Fred Meyer yesterday. Solid little cam!

Just can't wait till I can get a 6800....drool.....

I have this camera for awhile now, it's ok on day time shots, but anything I take inside or in medium light and the flash kicks in, which kinda sucks as the subject is overexposed.

thank god for cookies...here's what happened

i saw the camera on sale at buy.com this morning and added it to my buy.com cart. i held off buying till i heard from you guys and did some research online about this cam. thanks to wje and many digicam review sites, i convinced myself to stop being a cheapass and dish out the 222 for this cam. i went back to buy.com around 1pm and couldnt find the camera on the site anymore (prolly got removed). after about 10 minutes of pulling my hair out, i remembered that i added it to my cart....rushed back to buy.com and what do ya know....there is my little order sitting there in the shopping cart. . the rest is just history! all i can say is thank god for cookies!!

This camera's great - read the reviews above or here or here for user opinons. We've been using it for 6 months now. Very sharp clear photos, great true colour, fast cycle time. The lowlight without flash is not great but i've never seen a digicam in this price range with good lowlight performance.

Good camera from reviews and results Ive seen.
Buydig.com has it for 203. (You got to close the window that pops up showing it at $237). No Idea on how they rate as etailers...

Get a 128 mb card from frys for $34 and you are all set.

semi hi-jack here..I was at staples and saw a HP 315 for $129.00 ..it's 2.1 mp, comes with 16mb smartmedia card and and carrying case, use the $20 off $100 and it's down to $109 + tax..how's that?

Alright I bought one of these cameras a couple weeks ago from Staples. I went on pricewatch.com and found this site:
Fuji FinePix 2600. Harmony Computers is a Fuji Authorized Reseller if Staples tells you otherwise. The shipped price is $223.99.

So 279.98-223.99= 55.99
55.99 x 110% = 61.59
279.98-61.59= 218.39

Then I used a $40 off 200 coupon. This should get you to 178.39+tax shipped. Staples could not charge overnight shipping because my area didn't apply (Chicago Suburb). Anyways, this method should get you somewhere below $200 for the camera. YMMV

I feel the Nikon 2500 for about $230 online or $250 at Fry's is a better buy.

My friend has 2600 and it is to fat to put a pocket.

This camera is indeed very thick, more than two inches. It is a good starter camera. A good alternative would be Olympus D-520Z for about the same price from buydig.com.
