You could PM the IS and use a coupon at OM or OD. Or get a BPG @ CC for 110% difference.

One thing to do is check the package to see where it says the product is manufacturered. If it says "made in Taiwan" then they're some kind of cheap crap. If it says "made in Japan" they MAY be Taiyo Yuden. I do know that some Fuji DVD-R disks are taiyo yuden, but I can't sure for sure that they all are or that these are.

Good luck getting your Fuji rebate. Fuji rebates are horrible these days. They always lose your paperwork the first time.

I know that the fuji 10 packs with cases that say UP to 4x and made in japan ARE the TY manufactured discs, so my guess would be that if you can find a spindle that lists up to 4x with japan as the place they will be TY as well.

i got the 100pk yesterday and it was 2 50pks. they are ricoh's in my nec they burn good at 6x on my liteon they burn at 4x. better quality then my memorex cmc's i got.

Do the Riteks from Newegg have a writing surface on them or are they just "silvers"?

They're silvers. Got a 50 pack and they were all bad. Wasn't even recognized as media. Sent them back and gotr a refund.

They're *not* just silvers like they used to be. They now have a frosted surface on them so you can write on them without fear. That's terrible that you got a bad buch, but between myself and my friends we've ordered over 150 from Newegg over the past month without a single coaster so far (Pioneer 105, NEC 1300A, Sony DRU-10A).

TY dvdrs arent really that highly rated, contrary to Ritek and Ricoh which are the 2 most recommended dvdr dye.

Actually they still have regular silvers. The ones you're talking about are silver mattes. They come in those two flavors I guess. There actually have printable surface ones too, which give you a nice white top. Either way, after discovering Riteks, I've never really bothered going to any other brands, not even these Taiyo Yuden Fuji's. I'm into my 200s of Riteks used, and it hasn't failed me once. Using a sony dru 510 (firmware 1.0f) and nero 6303.
