Fuji CD-R rebates are back! 50pack @ BB = $6.99 AR

Maybe its just me, but it seem like its been awhile since we've had japanese Fuji 50packs for less than $12 anyplace. In a crunch last week I had to get em for $18, and spent a good ugly day looking for Japanese ones - they're becoming more and more rare nowadays.

Anyway - just got back from Best Buy and they had tons of japanese packs (Taiyo Yunden's) for $7 after rebate, $11 before. Enjoy.

lol, i think u mean Fuji TY CD-R are back. Fuji's always been around. i dont think BB has any nonTY Fujis yet. or i have yet to see any.

yes, these are 48x. I haven't seen 16x fuji in a long time. My BB did have non-TY fuji 50 packs about 6 months ago. Thankfully, that garbage is gone and they're carrying TY fuji 50 packs now. Their 100 packs are still non-TY.

At my local BB, all the other fuji's (100's, 10's, and 30's) were taiwan makes.

sorry i didnt clarify myself. i meant fuji 50pks. all the fuji 50pks i've received or seen @ BB have never been made in taiwan. however i have seen fuji taiwan 50pks elsewhere.

Fuji rebates have been pretty bad recently. Give them a call though. The guy I talked to was great. He gave me a fax number and said to put his name on the documents when I faxed them. The next day the rebate was approved and I got a check about a week later.

My local BB (Milpitas, CA) has a whole shelf full of these TY FUJI CDRs, time to stock up 🙂 A couple weeks ago they were selling for 17.99

Thanks! I'll give that a try on Monday.

After submitting, I did get an email from them and a confirmation # as well. But still nothing. Luckily, I made a copy of everything I submitted.

Picked up a 100 of these CD-R's and I'm currently going copy crazy (backing up). Anyhow, at my local BB (Torrance, Ca) they were stocked up on the TY Fuji 48x CD-R's. I was happy to see that this location actually had something in stock.

I'd jump in too, but seeing as I still haven't received my rebate from the last sale... Starting to hate rebates more and more.

i know what you mean, i just received my fuji rebates today, after b*tching at them two times, they combined the two rebates and sent it to me as one check for a total of 23 dollars (15 and 8)

i doubt they'd even give a rats ass about the rebates if the customers don't question them about it!

i like the 30 pack for $1.99 better

Because of getting screwed out of a couple of Fuji rebates I won't be buying any again. One triple rebate for 3 30 packs I managed to get them to pay after they had claimed they never received the paperwork. I had filed the rebate through their online processing and had mailed in the printed forms. I resubmitted and got my 3 x $6. On a couple of others they claimed I had exceeded the allowable number of rebates and wouldn't pay them, even though I had only purchased and submitted a rebate for each valid date period. They lost a good customer because I had bought a lot of Fuji TY's.

i think fuji has an yearly limit on their rebates, around 3 or 4 max per year. doesn't matter if you bought during the valid periods.

i dont think that's true. i've had ~10 fuji rebates this year already and they do come. some did take a email/fax/chat to get it, but i've gotten every single one so far.

They were all Japanese at my BB yesterday. Previous batches have been Taiwanese for the past several months. I suppose this does not prove that they are TY's though. Maybe Fuji just wised up and started labeling all of them as Japan since they are more popular.

I've been buying these for years and years - the first thing I do when I get a pack is run cdrinfo of some kind, and any packaging that says Japan has ALWAYS been TY's.

I'll also second that you can do as many rebates as you want per year. I did about 15 last year, and got a whole block of them after thanksgiving. They'll show sooner or later - if you do them through myrebates.info, and copy all of your rebate materials, all is good.

did the rebate twice. The first time the rebate was fulfilled within a month. this last time, submitted the rebate the first week of august for 3 spindles. Got one rebate check in the middle of November. I am stil waiting for the other 2 rebate checks. My reward.com shows "Printing Check" since early November and I still haven't received them yet. I just have to be patient.

As others have mentioned, if it seems to be taking forever, you can e-mail them a complaint. You'll get a specific person who will ask you for copies of everything. You can just fax them to him, and you'll generally get your rebate within days. I've done this twice when it was well beyond 8 weeks.

Fuji rebate problems here too. Had to call on the last two rebates when they were late. Did the online thing on one and just mailed the other. They say they no get. Had to fax them copies. Big rebate scam going on by Fuji. No more Fuji for Lanyap.

Sorry one more threadcrap regarding their rebates. I am glad they are moving to non-TY's so I won't be tempted to buy their cdr's anymore. They take entirely way too long to fulfill and after a while you tend to lose track since they don't state which of the rebate is being fulfilled on the check. I have one $6 rebate from the 3x30pk still waiting since july from crapusa.

Someone want to fill me in on the differences and why it matter?

I don't like hearing this stuff about rebates either. I havent seen anything back from them yet and my dumbass of course didnt make copies for myself.

At my BestBuy store(Bakersfield, CA) we have about 200 or so 50-pks of the blue Fuji 50-pks in stock.
