Fuji 2.4x DVD+R Media for $1.20 +tax @ BB

Best Buy this week has a sale for Fuji Blank Media. From BestBuy.com the price for the 25-pack spindle is $42.99. Plus there are 2 MIRs ($5, $8).

So $42.99 - $5 MIR - $8 MIR = $29.99 (+tax on $42.99). That's $1.20/disc not including tax.

There is also a 50-pack spindle on sale for $77.99. 2 MIRs on this also ($8, $10).

So $77.99 - $8 MIR - $10 MIR = $59.99 (+tax ib $77.99). That's also $1.20/disc not including tax.

Tax in my area is 8.25%, which makes these deals out to be about $1.33/disc after taxes, which I think is still hot for DVD+R media.

nice.. but too many small rebates!!!!!!
True, but even w/o the rebates the 50-pack comes out to less than $1.56 before taxes. Assuming my tax rate, it's less than $1.69, which isnt bad for DVD+R.

Seems like really nice deal, and I just ordered 50 discs for myself. One thing I do not like about Fuji is that their rebate takes sooo long time (at least to me). I applied for rebate online on March 16 and sent out all paperworks next day, and haven't gotten any update on website yet. When I called them today, they said rebate will be shipped out by the end of the month. That's my small worry.

But, 50 for 79.99 is still a good deal!

Really nice deal, conmsidering the Ritek dvd-r that I use with my Pioneer 103 are on backorder everywhere. I picked up two 50 packs to use with my HP300i.

Does anyone have a copy of the 50pk rebates that they could post or email me? My printer was down and like an idiot I forgot to save the file on my machine.

If these are Fuji rebates then the rebate process is pretty quick. You can register your purchase online, print a generated form from the registration process and mail it in with your store receipt. It is supposed to cut the rebate time down to 2-4 weeks. I did this about a month ago and have already received the rebates.

Do it online, easier.

I wonder if these disks will burn at 4x?

I know back in the day fuji was allways just relabeling their 24x media to 48x and even the none relabeled stuff burnt just fine at higher speeds.

No, only at 2.4X (25 minutes). Tried burning this Fuji's at 4X with DiscJuggler, Nero, RecordNow Max 4.5 and DVD X Copy XPress., but no go. Burning speed goes back to 2.4X

Got the 25-pk a few months ago and they work great with my Sony DRU-550A (firmware 2.0f). Made backups of some of my DVD collection and they work great on my DVD players.
