Everyone was bashing Charlie when he said that GT200 were disappearing from the channels but this seems to confirm that the AIB partners have had almost no supply of them for months (probably preventing them from trying to compete with evergreen or R700 cards in terms of price) and that this has been severely hurting them.
I'm sure nvidia is doing alright with OEM sales of their lower to lower mid range cards but companies like XFX, BFG, etc. depend on having mid range and high end cards to sell at retail.
Makes you wonder about the "red BFG" rumors that Kyle from Hardocp commented on during CES. The profit margins on GTX4xx cards are probably going to be lower than expected 6 months ago and if you combine that with limited availability it might spell trouble for some card makers.
