AMD FX Black Edition "Bulldozer" and 990FX Dirt 3 system demo

So we know it'll run modern games with the best GPU on the market... :p

Seriously though, why are they hiding the benchmarks unless it isn't what they said it would be? It's obviously working.

We'll see benchmarks sooner or later, look how long we have been waiting for BD to be released ,anyway a month or so is not a long wait .

Those 3D Mark Vantage results look out of this world. Either BD is the equivalent of an 8 Core 2500k @ 3.6ghz, or 3DMark Vantage is the most worthless application even created.

I don't understand how the GPU score went up 75% by just swapping the CPU?

Something seems fishy , indeed....

All benchmarks to date that I have seen are not representative.

That is all I am saying.

I think at this point I have to give some credit to JFAMD and some of the hardcore AMD fans, it isn't their fault all of these BS BD benchmarks are coming out, and they shouldnt have to confirm/defend/deny them.

All of the tech rumour sites will publish any photo-shopped image coming from China to increase traffic, credibility be damned.

Look at your quote posted above This post . I just don't know. But you do understand the differance between 150 billion dollars and 150 million do you not? If you do not the differance is 1000x looking at your post . You need a reality check

Look at my quote? I see nothing of misunderstanding the difference in those values. I do understand the difference, I'm not a child, just seems a little off topic.

Are you talking about the difference between AMD's income and Intel's? If you are you're off. I dunno...

Or why on the BD CPU tests its PLANS/S and STEPS/S while on the 2.6K its OPS.

The CPU score for 3DMark Vantage is probably inflated with physics acceleration from the video card. CPU Test 1, the AI test which isn't affected by physics acceleration, shows the 2600K with a higher score.

Based on the feature tests score, it also looks like the 2600K has a much slower video card, its scores matches the characteristic of a slightly overclocked GTX 460, while the AMD setup scores are typical of a overclocked GTX 580.

Or the results are faked. If Bulldozer is this great, how come all the delays and secrecy?

Perhaps a great new video card can "mask" things. Quite frankly, if a brand new Bulldozer 8150 at 3.6 Ghz, some form of Turbo boost and 8 cores doesn't smoke a SB 2500k little lone a 2600k, AMD will quite frankly look silly. I say this because the 2500k/2600k chips have been out for almost a year, both "only" have 4 cores with the 2600k having hyperthreading to 8 cores, they only run at 95W while the Bulldozer runs at 125 or 130W. Geez Louise. Based on the raw power differential the Bulldozer should smoke them. If it's nearly a draw with a 2500k at stock(they overclock like wild) and Bulldozer doesn't scale as well overclocking, things will be gloomy in AMD ville.

I have always been AMD since the 386DX40 came out until now. Time will tell.

These latest Chiphell numbers show 8C Zambezi running at 3.6Ghz to be slower than X4 Deneb @ 3.6Ghz in C11.5,wprime and super pi.You can check for yourself. Move along, not gonna happen.

Why do people go through all this trouble to fake up some numbers? I mean do they just like AMD that much to fake stuff for them or is it something else I'm missing?

To drive traffic to their webpages. Think about it, would you ever visit any of these Chinese sites if not for the fake reviews?

The new B2 Revisions were said to go under mass production in August 2011 and would hit retail markets by Late September 2011. The Release of Bulldozer on September 19th is highly likely as mentioned in our earlier post here.

Highly suspect. It takes a solid 7-9 weeks or longer just to get it out of the fab. Then packaging and distribution. If they started mass production on August 1st. I wouldnt expect to see anything until middle of october at the earliest.

Not as silly as you look for talking about TDP figures like that. Also keep in mind that TDP between the two is not directly comparable since each company figures it differently.

This delay and silence is BS! I have a AM3 CPU in an AM2+ mobo with DDR2. I would like to upgrade to an AM3+ MB with DDR3 that would allow me to keep going for a while, after which I could upgrade the CPU to a Bulldozer. However, if BD is going to be a dud I might as well start planning on moving to Intel i7. I can't even buy the DDR3 RAM as I don't know if I should get dual channel or triple channel.

AMD, defecate or get off the pot!

As we see in that misterious run of dirt 3 on a bulldozer, one has to pay for eight cores to run a game on 2 and half. Nice job.

Yes you can -- the only tri-channel platform was the LGA1366, which is being phased out. If you want to go Intel, the sanest two choices are i5 2500K and i7 2600K -- and both use dual-channel memory.

I didn't realize that. Thanks for the info.
