Five Guys...I swear they sprinkle crack on the burgers.

motherfvcking heart attack on a roll.

You fail for posting health related comments in a discussion on the best burgers. 😛 🙂

Seriously though....I don't understand what makes them so good. For those who are cursed by not living in the mid-atlantic area I would first of all suggest hopping on the next plane just for the burgers and second of all read this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Guys

Burgers are insanely good, you can have them put whatever you want on it for free. Fries are fresh cut at the store (there are bags of potatoes lined up), if you get a small order of fries you get about a 12oz foam cup filled with the best fries ever and I swear like 3x that number of fries in the bottom of the bag enough for a small army.

christ...all you guys need your tastebuds checked. Unless the both times I went to the two fuddruckers were a fluke, I'm really not willing to gamble some money + taste bud torture to go back again.

Fluke, unless they've changed their style in the last few years. Try not going on a busy night? Quality might slip or something, I dunno.

or it could be he's in a junk location

Islands > Fuddruckers > In-N-Out > All fast food burgers

what the fuck

innout pwns islands every day of the week

I cannot understand the In-n-out fan. Island's is a sit down restaurant, their burgers are 1/4" thick, juicy, made to order. In-n-Out are thin, barely there slabs of meat mass produced for the teaming masses. WTH, how can you prefer In-n-Out to Island's? I just don't get it.

cuz the islands burger tastes like ass. Giant ass restaurant burger =/= tasty burger

It is a hell of a lot tastier than that greasy slab called In-n-Out.

Do you like Chilli's burgers or Hamburger Hamlet (assuming your are in SoCal)?

I don't go to Chili's and I have not yet been to hamburger hamlet. I hear Annie Morton's has the absolute best lunch time hamburger around (<15 bucks), so that's my next place.

For the most part, I have found restaurant burgers to be completely unejoyable. A touch too big to fit in your mouth comfortably, but it's a burger for christs sake, you shouldn't be eating it with a knife and fork.

Johnny Rocket's makes an OK burger, but completely overpriced. I'd rather go to JR though than Islands. The only thing I like from Islands are their drinks and fried goodies.

I'll eat In N Out burgers (double double reg + grilled onions on an extra toasted bun), Jack in the Box, and OCCASIONALLY carl's jr.

I wholeheartedly agree with you Neuro. Me and my friends always choose innout over islands. Once, I suggested we chill @ islands... after 10 seconds of talking, we drove over to innout.

every time i go there i think "i'm paying a crap ton of money and i'm doing half the work, wtf?"

oh, and a 1/4" inch thick burger isn't very thick at all. now, an inch thick burger, on the other hand, that is a burger.

They closed the Fuddruckers in Nashville a few years back. It had really bad ratings and health code violations. It was eventually closed down. The place was nasty. Their burgers were ok, but nothing like what you can get at a good sit down places.

Never had in-n-out or Fuddruckers, but my favorite burger chain has got to be Whataburger. Wendy's is the closest in second.

actually, I think FATBURGER makes a really good burger too. Just way too expensive.

OK, at least we can agree on something.

They're so tasty and ungreasy. But 9 bucks for a combo? c'mon now.

Homemade > Five Guys > Fuddruckers > Red Robin > All others

There aren't many burgers I'd rather have over a backyard one but Five Guys makes the best damn burger you can buy in public. I love Fuddruckers too but I only have them ranked ahead of Red Robin because I love the "serve yourself" toppings bar and self-serve fountain drinks. The one I used to go to closed down though. I'm not even sure there's another one open around here now.

In and Out and Fuddruckers are both good, but different styles. One is fast food with a drive thru, the other is a sit down place. I like em both, but am pissed I never got my shirt from Fudds for finishing their challenge.

I've been to two different Fuddruckers. In my second attempt, I was hoping that my first experience with them was a fluke.

NOPE..same dry, untasty overpriced POS. Never going back again.. ever.

same here, overpriced garbage.

If it was the most disgusting thing you've ever eaten, why did you go back multiple times?

I've been to Fuddruckers once and after that I will never ever step into a Fuddruckers again. It was one of the most disgusting hamburgers I had ever had 🙁

most disgusting ever? that's pretty much all they do, I mean they have Dogs, Chicken, Shrimp & some Steak dishes. But burgers are their claim to fame, I wanna eat at one of these Fudd's thats bad beyond words. I know the one I use to eat it, was like Hamburger Heaven! This Five Guys place that's being brought up shouldn't even be in any type of running as they don't have any on the West Coast, and everyone knows the West Coast is where you get the best burgers 🙂

Islands is uhh well I ate there once I wasn't overly impressed, I sort of liked the lack of lighting inside made it seem a bit more romantic, but I did order a Burger so I'm not exactly sure how romantic of a meal a burger can be haha.

In-N-Out is good, Fatburger is pretty blah and way overpriced, Tommy's has meh burgers but the Chili makes them unbeatable. I will probably die from eating too much Tommy's Chili ha.

TOMMY'S FTW!!!

agreed.

Tony Roma's make a really damn good burger (and also other damn good food too) but there is not many of them around the country. Oh and Islands/Fudd's/Robin makes DECENT burgers. In n Out is great for fast food but I hate how damn busy they always are.
