Yep, since I've played sports my whole life I've celebrated everytime I've made a big play. If you don't like it prevent the other team from scoring or whatever. And if the NFL celebrations piss you off, then get a life.

I think it's somewhat entertaining to see the celebrations. Yes it's their job, but it's probably one of the most fun jobs in the world, and I think it's great that they enjoy it rather than take their good fortune for granted.

Even funnier is when they do this big elaborate dance and then the td didn't count because of a block in the back call 70 yards back.

5 years ago I lived in rochester hills, mi.....the long and short of it is i lived less then 1 block from barry sanders in the same subdivision. I only talked to him 2x in 3 years but I got his autograph on an official nfl jersey and he really is a cool classy guy (from what I saw). He walked away from the money/nfl to spend time with his family and sh1t....

You people whining about celebrations obviously don't play competative sports yourself.

there you are wrong, i plaied competive sports through college level and on many regional and junior national teams, never excessivily celbrated over anything or excessivily complained about dooing poorly
Duh, everyone on this forum is a division 1 athlete.

I could do without all the needless "LOOK AT ME I MADE A PLAY!" attention-whoring celebration.

I agree, Barry Sanders was one cool cat. He'd score, and just hand the ball to the ref. Act like you've been to the endzone before.

It is aggravating to see a guy intercept a ball, get tackled, then jump up and run 30 yards down field doing some ridiculous dance. I'm all for pump your fist, yell a little, and ya, be happy you made the play. Don't act like you are having a seizure on the football field. I could do without all the showboating. It's getting completely out of hand.

Getting into the end zone with both your knees intact is reason enough to celebrate madly.

i think some players just celebrate at bad times, above mentioned first down when the team is down by 20 is a bad time to be dancing...

but all in all, it's part of the game now. The player did his job, which is to try to stop x player or go x yards, etcetc. Let them bask in the moment i guess.
Also - I don't think you're allowed to dance in college after scoring (i may be wrong, as i didn't play in college, but i know in HS you can't dance/excessively cheer/etc).

from the current players, i like lt's td celebration. takes the one knee, and just tosses the ball to the side. classy and calm, i respect that.
