FTP web client and server for Linux

We are looking for a FTP server that either has a web interface for the client/admin portion of it or something that we can customize to display the information. Our client wants a FTP server, but they also want a webpage that displays the files/images from the server with a description, file size, and a few other customizable/editable fields). We will be using Fedora Core 5 or 6 as the OS.

If anyone could recommend a good FTP server for Linux that would at least be a good start.

You could probably do that with a standard ftp server such as proftp or pureftp coupled with Webmin. All though webmin might be a little over kill for what you want to do.
