ok i'm getting old. back in my college days (ahem) i had a cool program that ran in win98 that would integrate into the windows shell so you could do ftp right from there. you could add bookmarks to ftp sites and eveything right in network neighborhood. anyone know what that program is?

i think it was an explorer shell extension, possibly even from MS themself..

This is already built into Windows. Just type the FTP address into address bar of an Explorer or Internet Explorer window.

in windows 98 i think windows had web folder windows xp has add a network place
but I don't use it because it always locks up when uploading too many files or takes longer than FTP programs.

I find once you get the ftp programs setup for specific tasks or downloads it's easier and faster to use that the windows explorer.
I mean I can connect to a site like for games or linux iso and it takes me to my local linux or game demo download folder
and also once I get it setup I can export my site configuration so I never has to start from scatch again.
