Could anyone suggest a good FTP Server program?

I'm using Serv-U now, and its messing up, its telling me that my HOME directory does not exist (which I know it does, I made it). So I think its time for a new FTP Server.

Any suggestions?

Ah, I use War FTP Daemon myself, but it can be a little difficult to get running under XP as a service. Or at least it gave me problems a year ago when I installed it, maybe things have changed. Anyway, it's free and I'm happy with it overall.

I use Proftpd. It is a bit difficult to set up, however I really like it a lot since its extremely configurable and pretty stable (compared to most other FTP servers at least). I used to run Servu 2.5, but I got rid of it several months back.

Pure-FTPd

Pure-FTPd is actively supported, and it was always designed with security in mind, and the code is always re-audited as new kind of vulnerabilities are discussed.

Unlike other popular FTP servers, the number of root exploits found since the very first released version is zero.

It might not be free, but BulletProof FTP Server (formerly G6) is my favorite on the Windows side.
