FTP Server is at it AGAIN.

Okay, this time i've come up short of any explanation for my ftp server's wicked behavior. I left it on today when I left for work, everything was okay, good to go. No that I come home, nothing accesses it anymore. If you attempt to access it on the proper IP and port, if times out, however it tells me it's running on the proper ip, proper port also. Dunno what's up...tried rebooting, to no avail. 🙁 This is the extent of my FTP luck...

Nope...even NAT is disabled at the moment. Any ideas what else would block the port? The server closes the connection everytime someone attempts to connect, but it gives THEM a timeout. I just don't understand...

We need more details, specifically os and ftp server? Could be caused by a million things. But the first thing that jumps into my mind is reverse ip mapping problems. Does the client you are trying to connect from have a correct reverse/forward ip mapping?

OS is Win2k SP2, server is ServU 3.0.0.16 Pro. Many clients have tried connecting, and well as oth.net's search bot, to no avail. I dunno that much about IP mapping, but i'm on a static IP, so there shouldn't be anything to map. Thanks for the replies, guys! Keep 'em coming!

Well, I seem to have in figured out...NAT found a way to re-enable itself and I don't know how. 😱 anyway, works now, thanx for the input.
