does anybody know how to set up an ftp server?
i have a linksys router and 5 port hub. ive tried to set up an ftp server and i think one of the problems is that the ftp server is trying to use the ip address that the router assigned to the port on the hub that iam pluged into. how do i find out what my ip address from my internet provider? (i am on Road Runner)also does anybody have any sugestions on a certain ftp program to use? i ve tried G6 server and Warftp v1.7. i think another problem is that i am having a dificult time properly configuring the programs.
Thanks

i'm a fan on serv-u ftp, easy to set up and pretty good. i'm pretty sure you can get your external ip address just by going into the routers web based config. if not an amazing site i found that will give you your hostname and ip is http://www.apical.net/
