FTP question

I was woundering where i could go about getting a FTP for myself. need one with a lot of space and not to expensive. kinda new to it could use some help

well im at college so i do kinda have broad band. but its not just mine. i just need something with a boat load of space that i can put stuff up pnto to share with people

How much are you willing to pay?

Something like that will cost a great deal of money.

Edit: And as long as it's not illegal material and you're school allows you to run a server, there's no reason you wouldn't be able to do it from your connection.

You should be allowed to use your connection for it. A nice FTP program is Bullet Proof FTP Server. Or if you have Win2k installed you can install IIS and run an ftp server from that.

IIS comes with Win2k. Goto the control panel>add or remove programs>add/remove windows components and check Internet Information Services (IIS)

Get yourself something at rackspace.com (I recommend FreeBSD there), or setup a so-lo some where. Just dont be stupid and put illegal things out there. And since you have so many questions dont worry about IIS, its a little more work than you sound like you really want to get into.
