Hey folks,

2 DNS
---1x Private network (DNS name is ABC.com)
---1x Network with access to the Internet (DNS name is XYZ.com)

1 FTP outside our networks
---FTP.XYZ.com

In our company, we uses 2 networks (1 has no acces to the internet and the other does). Our FTP server is hosted by the company Y. When someone inside tries to connect to the FTP hosted by Y, the DNS is reached before and returns a negative answer saying that the DNS don't know this FTP. The DNS XYZ uses the same name as our FTP (ftp.XYZ.com).

Is there any way to configure our DNS to redirect the FTP requests to our router?

Any help will.. well... help! :)

Thank you

Assuming you are talking about using network 2(access to internet). If you can connect to the FTP server via IP, you need to make a DNS entry for the FTP server for Network 2.

If you are talking about network 1(private network) you are talking about a proxy device, that will funnel all traffic outbound through that device. In essense chaining to your network 2 for external access.
