Los Altos, California, May 13 (Bloomberg) -- Rambus Inc. shares fell as much as 20 percent after USA Today reported that the U.S. Federal Trade Commission is preparing an antitrust lawsuit against the designer of computer-memory chips.
..................
The FTC accuses Rambus of working with the industry to adopt a memory-chip standard while simultaneously applying for the patent rights, USA Today said. The FTC would stop Los Altos, California-based Rambus from collecting royalties, the newspaper said, citing unidentified lawyers.
Wonder what took them so long to decide to do this. (Link to the USA Today story)
