Every time I edit my FS thread, I get those damn arrows (less than symbols) in front of anything that I've highlighted (with the [ H ] tags). After every edit, I have to go back and delete each arrow in front of each highlight.

So it looks like this...

<<<(open highlight)Computer Partsclose highlight)

See the three arrows... that's if I edited 3 times. Every time I hit edit again, it'll add another arrow. If I don't delete the arrow after each edit, it will keep adding one over and over...

In addition, my bullet tags (the LI tag) doesn't work at all.

I have been dealing with this for several weeks now, and just can't take it anymore. 🙁 The arrows are a result of hitting the EDIT button, not the APPLY button after the edits. So let's say my thread looks perfectly fine, as soon as I hit the edit button, in the edit window I will see all of the arrows (less than symbols) placed directly in front of each [ H ] tag.

I'm on the latest firefox, by the way... I even tried IE7 and the same thing happens with the arrows showing up when I edit (and after I submit the edits, unless I manually remove them); although. when I use IE7 to view my thread I can see the bullets... but with firefox I don't see the bullets.

Hope this can be fixed someday. Thanks.

Not sure what you call this, but the side bar at the left with the categories seems to get precedence over the topic list in a given forum. For instance, I click "off topic" or "hot deals" and I see the side bar at the left with a white space to the right of it. If I scroll down to the bottom of the side bar, the topic list starts down there.

Still using IE6.

Anyone else have this problem?

Happens to me once in a while, but usually at work. I always have my browser window maximized, work or home. At work, my res is 1024x768, and it happens there, but at home I don't recall if it ever happens at all. 1280x1024. EDIT: It does, but less often.

Do you also browse maximized, and if so what is your resolution? If not, does maximizing the browser reduce the occurence of the problem?

Maximized and set at 1024x768. Doesn't seem to make a difference if I max/min. I guess I oughta upgrade to IE7 anyway.

Dunno if its been posted, I haven't read.

But search is still all fucked up.

If you put in something that might have a lot of results (ie. "running") it tells you Your search contained ignored words, ignored words are words like a,and,to,between. Please re-construct your search without these ignored words.

39) Star ratings sometimes break and display text instead.
I haven't noticed this in awhile till now. I use Adblock to hide the stars but saw this yesterday.
If it helps, here's a screenshot of what i'm seeing along with the element properties.

Using FF 1.5.0.12

I've inserted two different links into both the body of this post and the sig of the user Tess Dummy that I created just for this post.

When you click on either link in the body, everything works fine.

This thread
Google

When you click on the link for Google in the signature everything works fine.
When you click on the link to this thread and then close that window, a small vertical scroll bar remains on this post. It goes away when focus changes.

When linking from the signature to a URL that has parameters, we get the phantom v-scroll bar.

EDIT:

I thought I had duplicated the conditions to explain the phantom scroll bar but, now it is reversed. If you link to the first page of this thread and go to the post of Anubis, you will find that Rootminus1.com is good and Puter leaves the scroll bar.

Or, go to any thread a find a member who lists his rig or heatware and try those.

--Fred Kline

EDIT2:

The edit caused everything to work in the signature (this may be a clue!)

The ignore user feature seems to only block threads created by that user, not their posts in threads. Not sure if it is intended to work that way, or if this is an error.

private message is really screwed up

if go to your "private message" page and click on a name (so you can see all the correspondence back and forth from a single individual) it leaves out some of the messages. it seems to always leave out the first message. and i cant find any way to view it unless i can find it somewhere in the main page

Yes same here, it says I still have 2 message in my inbox, but they are not there when I try to view them. They have been removed, but not cleared.

Not sure if this has been reported, but if you create a topic and put something in

Such as:

Hi!!!

And then edit the topic at a later date, the program puts a < sign in front of it

<Hi!!!

and if you edit again, it adds another one:

<<Hi!!!

My company has a lot of problems with our software and Kaspersky. Kaspersky seems to be overzealous.

As to the real reason I posted in this thread, I don't like how the page has to reload when you vote on a thread. It should be an independent module that reloads just that little box. I'd like to be able to rate threads in the middle of a quick-reply (my quick reply window is attached and is empty when page reloads).

I'd like to be able to stop whatever I'm typing, click however-many-stars, and continue typing my reply. Voting on a thread shouldn't require the whole page to reload.

The fixing of the Attach Code feature in the Programming forum would be greatly appreciated.

It used to work before, but now it seems to remove all the line breaks from whatever you type in and run it all together. Then when you go back to edit it, only the first line shows up (at least for me).

Same should go for a poll. Although what you said is all the more reason to get rid of thread ratings.

I've not read this entire thread, but when are you guys fixing this issue:
brokenAT.JPG

I get it almost all the time and the only way around it that normally works (not always) is to load a page with my browser non-maximized, then once it's loaded I can maximize and it generally will display properly. This is on multiple IE6 machines, I can't remember if it does it on 7.

It's about as fixed as a celebrity's drinking problem 🙂

Ditto. This is really bad.

Plus, I don't know how to get to the last page of PMs (i.e. the oldest ones). Instead, I can only go one page at a time.

Similar issue here. In IE6 I still get the big grey box at the top of the page with the topic choices starting about halfway down. It stopped doing this a while back but it recently started again. Sometimes a page refresh takes care of it (or a couple of page refreshes).
