two rebates in a row i've been denied for not having a proper postmark date! i've put the envelopes into a mailbox at the postoffice two or three days before they've been due both times. the first notice came after i'd already done the second rebate, so i'm not an idiot. and of course the little postcard says to resubmit. hello, you're the ones with the envelope, there is nothing for me to resubmit. goddamnit!

Sorry man...proof of mail date is something learned very quickly when dealing with rebates and/or the hot deals forum. Pay the extra for certified/return receipt if the rebate is big enough.

i called them, they gave me the rebate without any hassle. except for having to be on the phone with them and figure out their call system. it's really annoying that you have to do that.

Seagate rebates suck. I went through the same thing a few weeks ago. They said they made it right, we'll see. I still filed and e-complaint through my state attorney general's web site, and I sent a nasty e-mail to outpost.

This literally is a scam, about 90% of the people that have applied for seagate rebates get this BS. You have to contact them for it to go through. Shady way to try and not give you your rebate, as even less people will b!tch after they get the letter.
