FSB of 1700; 145 good ??

rather new to overclocking as i have never been able to get my temps down on normal operation to even attempt to overclock.

i have had a go at the the little program that comes with most Giga-byte boards; Easy TuneIII

it raises ur FSB to get an over clock, live while windows is running ( you probably all know this )

one question is it any good ??

but mainly (and perhaps a hand-in-hand question with the above one) i cant get it to go far at all.

it auto optimises to 145, but that has crashed a few times,
i tried manually to go to 150 & it crashed immediately.

145 FSB only raises my 1700 (1.47) to 1.6 ghz

i would have thought i could have got a little more.

temps are down, CPU never over 42 C (i have double checked that with BIOS readings)

any advice would be invaluable
