Well im at work and the computer is at home, ill double check all my settings and try disabling ports 1&2 and ill let you know what happens. Thanks for all the great info so far.
 
Disabling the extra sata ports, in my best bet, won't do squat. I've had the board. Try a different bios, and or reset cmos, go back in/ make your setting changes and try again.
 
I had a K8N-SLI and had the exact same issue. Tried everything, bios settings, bios, etc. with no success, finally just bought a different board and all is fine. Unfortunately it was a pricey solution :frown:
