Put a 360 package in the FS/T forum for $115 + shipping, a great deal at that.

This guy says he'll take it, we get arranged, then right at the end he says "will you go $5 lower?", i reply saying no its already a great deal.

His reply: "ok sell it elsewhere. GL"

Cheap fucker.

Post his name so we can begin the ritual shaming.

Not saying he is in the right, but obviously you value the $5.00 as much as he did, or you would of just sold it to him ;)

that's pretty lame and I admit I've offered less than asking price on some stuff but for the most part is $5 or $10 really that big a deal?

There's nothing wrong with asking someone to come down in their price, but it needs to be the initial offer.

I agree. It's fine to give offers below the listed price, but if the buyer has agreed to a certain price, then the seller has to take down the listing. Then, the buyer trying to lowball some more is sleazy. Guessing buyer was bidding on multiples of the same item and trying to work the sellers against each other.

I love when you agree on a price on Craigslist, then when they show up they try to haggle you

Or when you tell them say $100, and they are all hype to come check it out, but only bring $50, fuckin' tools.

Yeah... It has become the nickel and dime capitol of the world in there. Anything over $100 and everyone suddenly wants $10-$20 off. Anything over $200 and fuck, they want it for half price.

I love it when people do the whole "I can get it at {insert shithole website} for just a few dollars more". Asshats.

Give it to me $115 straight, and you cover the shipping -- and I'll consider it.

I've generally had good experiences here, but on hard forum its kinda mixed:

Someone wanted lower than what I was asking for an item because he said thats what the item was selling for elsewhere. I asked him to give me a link or something and he sent me an expired deal. I ended up selling it on ebay for more than what I was asking on the forum.

Same item, someone wanted to trade me a worse, and used, item in exchange.

Was finishing the terms of a trade when at the very end the "used but in perfect" condition item I was trading for became a "used, and with damage" item.

On GameTZ people always ask for ridiculous trades because I have little feedback there.

On Craigslist people email me, then I respond, then they tell me to call them. Why can't we agree on the terms of the transaction over email? Trying to reach someone over the phone is annoying and I don't answer calls from unknown numbers. It becomes troublesome when I am trying to keep track of several interested people.

what a bitch. the haggle should be BEFORE *ANY* of the 'i'll take it' type messages.

also, people need to leave their sold at prices in the thread. there's no point in leaving the item listed as SOLD if you don't leave the price. It's a great resource for future sellers to determine a good price, and also buyers to determine the going value.

I agree. It is good to see what others sold an item for so I dont put up insane prices and rip someone off, or even rip myself off.
