Hey guys, I wanted to ask the question here before making a post and getting a mod/admin warning or getting in trouble.

My dad, who lives in another state and doesn't use the internet is asking for my help selling rocks.

I set up a youtube channel for him and we have some local craigslist adds.

I was just curious if it is against the rules for me to make a for sale thread here with a link to his craigslist, which basically just has a contact phone number, just in case any anandtechers who live in his area are interesting in purchasing landscaping rock?

I figure the answer is a no, but thought I would ask.

ps. There isn't a specific item for sale, just would be listing contact info for buying bird bathes, basalt columns, and rocks by the ton.

Let me know. Thanks.

We appreciate that you asked, but your first guess that this would not be allowed is correct. He would be considered a dealer and, posts such as you suggest would be advertising his business, not selling personally owned items.

Perhaps you could get a basic website for his business set up as well as the youtube channel and craigslist ads?
