This is the standard 2 MB 7200 RPM WD 120 GB bare drive (no cable) but carries the standard 3 year warranty. Available at Fry's now through 9-3. The best part is NO REBATE. Sure, you could get the SE 8MB version from CrapUSA right now and pay about the same IF your $100 rebate comes some day....

Available in store only, price at Outpost.com is $149.

Might want to indicate it's the 2MB model in the topic title, since we all know there's a 2MB and an 8MB model and that makes a big difference when you're comparing prices and deciding which one to buy.

Just want to mention that I heard someone recently pulled off a pricematch to the CompUSA after rebate price at the Bay Area Frys, and Frys now has the 8MB version for $129.99 for today (I believe, not confirmed). As for me, I currently pulled off a PM from Micro Center to CompUSA and got the 8MB 120GB for $149.99. Of course there's the $100 MIR, so...

I really don't know. Deal with TCA/CompUSA and have a hell of a time getting my rebate (worse if it gets rejected because of PM), or just go down to Fry's, pay almost $1 a GB, and be happy?

Which CompUSA did you pricematch microcenter with? Considering doing the same thing.

I tried to PM with @boston. The CSR compared the mfrg-ids and said that what is advertised is BBRTL and not JBRTL and denied me the drive. This was my first PM experience and I failed miserably...boohooooo

Thanks for the info...well, atleast i dont have to deal with rebates, which in all possibility be inherited by my kin ;)
