anyone had experience with the btc dvd drive? my friends in the market for a cheap dvd drive
i'm thinking the lite-on at newegg is better...

<< HOw is that Iwill mobo KK266? Stable? >>

The KK266 has the VIA KT133A chipset in it and so uses PC133 or better SDRAM. Of those, it's among the best ever made.
Some people have had issues running an AthlonXP on a KK266 but I'm running an XP 1800+ on a KK266 right now and it's 100% stable, even OC'ed over 2000+. Just make sure to flash the BIOS to the latest version.

My 12x BTC drive from Frys died in 6 months. I will not read any discs unless I tilt it Vertically. Why? I have no idea. I hardly used it too.

dont even bother with the btc dvd drive go with the liteon or toshiba or pioneer from newegg
it'll do u good in long run and it's somewhat faster too
