In the past few weeks I got an 80GB and a 60GB Seagate with the Fry's rebates. The former is a second hdd in my system while the latter went into a new system I built for someone. I wish the rebates would get here though!

I saw someone bought a hd with Fry's 2 years service plan - instant exchange if it goes bad. Fry's has 1, 2, 3 years service plan, he chose 2 years. 2 years could be the best deal.
 
Compaq 1722 Laptop for $1299 after rebate. That looks pretty good to me, except the vid card is only an 8MB radeon. Anyone have this and can tell me if its good enough for counterstrike?
 
that soyo/xp/mushkin combo is a really tempting deal! currently running same setup, except 512MB kingston ddr. $250 with the $80 antec sx830 (reg price @ fry's) makes for a really good starting package. you don't need to buy a sound card or nic to start with (both built-in and work well) so that saves you a few more $.
