Woah, looks like a sweet deal on that XP1500... I had my eyes on the XP1600, but at that price...

I don't know much about motherboards. Is the K7S5A decent?

Fry's in the Bay Area recently had an Athlon XP 1700+ retail with ECS k7s5a mobo for $120.

I'm not trying to thread crap, $120 for an XP 1500 w/ mobo is still a good deal, but if you can wait, I'm sure you can find a better deal. Keep in mind the 1500 is a bare cpu, so you will have to buy your own heatsink and fan (around $20).

Can anyone tell me if the P4-1.6A Retail/P4XB-SA $189 is a good deal. I've been wanting to pick up a northwood for some time and I'm really tempted to grab this.

I got a K7S5A with a 900Mhz Athlon last year. It's been a rock. Although, it's not good for overclocking. The only thing you can adjust is the FSB.
