If that SOYO board is the SY-P4S DRAGON Ultra, then that is a crazy hot deal. That board goes for $140+ all by itself!

It's XP1800, not 1700. From page 6H of today (Friday)'s San Jose Mercury:

AMD Athlon XP 1800+ Processor with QuantiSpeed Architecture and FIC Motherboard

$139

Still a nice deal deal for the Lite version I suppose. There does seem to be a $10 rebate on the Soyo SY-P4S Lite. Is that included in the quoted price of $209?

Most of the comments I've seen about the AN11 are positive. It seems like a pretty stable board.

One thing though: the original bios only supports up to XP2000+. If you want to use XP2100+ or higher, you need to flash the bios to the latest version here. I think that means you somehow need to have access to an XP2000+ or lower in order to flash the bios.

the official policy of Frys is that they WILL NOT honor or match other Fry's sales, ads, or price.

I bought the FIC AN11 a few weeks ago for 69 bucks. in bay area.

Sac Frys had it for 59, so I tried to get an price adjustment for it at san jose, manager refused.

Went to second frys, manager repeated the same policy but then said, "well, it's only 10 bucks, I guess it's ok."

so YMMV big time here.

the board is decent, haven't had any problems with it.

not a good board if you want to OC, it does not have FSB adjustments, I have heard you can bump it up in bios thought, just another 33.

It does have FSB adjustments in the bios, just not in 1MHz increments. My XP 1700+ is running at 1.59GHz right now, which is basically XP 1900+ speed.
