XP2100+ w/ Soyo KT333 mobo = $150

XP2400+ w/ Shuttle nForce2 mini barbone $450

USB mini hub $9 - $9 = FREE

USB 2.0 PCI card $10 - $10 = FREE

That's strange. I have the OC adds in my favorites but none of those links show up on the page.

How'd you done it ViperV990😛?

The search function is ALWAYS your friend 😉

From the L.A. Times Ad:

Western Digital 200GB HDD, 8MB cache, retail boxed: $149.99 after $120 MIR

Mushkin 512MB PC2700 DDR Memory: $59.99 after $20 MIR (limit 1/customer)

Dan, is that from the paper?
Yes. I picked up the paper at 0330 on my way in to work.

is that ecs mobo with the p4 any good?
My experience with ecs mobo's is limited to their AMD flavors. They can be finicky to set up and have limited bios options. On the other hand, I've found them to be very stable.

Fry's discounts P4 combo's with the ECS mobo on a regular basis. For what it's worth, I notice a lot of people standing in the Burbank Fry's return line, holding that mobo, the day after the ad hits the paper.

But that could just be L-users who can't figure out how to set them up properly?

Can anyone find the link to the 200MB Western Digital -120.00 rebate/coupon? Tried e-coupons already, but I guess they don't have it yet?

Thx,

-Ian

I'm just guessing, but the rebate for the 200GB WD hard drive may very well be Fry's-specific.

Dang, I'm thinking that also. I went in on the Dell deal for the same hardrive for $175 (it should be arriving today).

Does anyone know if Dell pricematches? Went through allot of trouble too to get that price above... Or are they difficult to return to, will I be charged at all?

What's even funnier, is that I still have the Maxtor 200mb I bought from Fry's 2 weeks ago I still have yet to return! Arghhhh...

Well, at least I know for certain that the Western is a much better drive.

Just got the IOGEAR USB 2.0 PCI card for $10.82 and shipping the $10.00 MIR.. 82 centavos muy barato.

Can someone (maybe Dan?) who has a hard copy of the LA Times ad please check and see if there's the XP2100+/FIC AU11 combo for $150?

Dang! I've been looking hard for a good price on large storage in Western Digital flavor. Those 200 GB drives are extremely tempting. HOWEVER, when I got my 120 GB drives pricematched at CompUSA last October with a $100 rebate, I had to call in January when the rebate had not come. There were two, one for me and one for my sister's address. They claimed both were sent and returned with an incorrect address. What BS! I did finally get the money though. I don't know if the same rebate house would be handling this rebate, but $120 is a hell of a lot of rebate.

I don't understand why ppl would get a P4 together with a board without an Intel chipset.

Sometimes their combo P4/ECS motherboard price is cheaper than the price of the retail CPU alone! I've bought two of their 2.4GHz combo deals and they are both running fine. At $199 and $189, the price was just too good to pass.

Oops, sorry. Just a heads up on the 60gig western digital hard drives that are 88.99 with 30.00 mail in rebate. They are 8mb cache version and you can send them 19.99 for the 3 year warranty. I won't be sending it in but some may. Great deal.

you guys know anything about... or can you provide a link to the review of the mother board with the p4 deal....

it is a ABIT SR7-8x motherboard with 8x AGB
DDR 333 up to 2gb
and USB 2.0

what does that all mean... i am pretty good at this stuff but i dont know what DDR333 is.. can i put DDR 2100 into it?

also know anything about this manufacturer or the board itself??

i got screwed about a year and a half ago with some mobo from fry's that stunk after one of these deals..

okay upon further analysis i see another deal....

p4 2.5 with a ECS P4VXASD2 board with 4 dimms slots.... 2 DDR and 2 SDRAM... for 199.99

also how does it compare to the xp2100 deal with the soyo motherboard...

which of these deals is better in your guys' opinions and why? i am so gonna buy one of these.... just got my new blue aluminum case and new monitor... just need a mobo and CPU

From my exp. with ECS and AMD was no good so I stayed away from that P4 deal. The Soyo lite is ok but doesn't overclock well. 150 fsb was all it could do for me. The Abit deal is ok to good. I'll tell you how it turns out in a little bit. I did a Yahoo search and found a couple of reviews. From what I read they say it's ok but not a very good overclocker there are a bunch of better boards out there but I got this for a guy who doesn't care about that. I personly got a AMD with a 8rda+ or Fic au11 samething and xp2100+ 0302 that does 2450 speeds. This customer likes Intel's name so thats what he's going to get.
