No, I believe it's for the Los Angeles/Hollywood area.

I posted straight from the Sacramento Bee. (even tho' they're kinda sucky  )

Do not, repeat, DO NOT buy cheap ram from Fry's....Unless you like making return trips til you get a good stick! I believe that if you were to poll the AT population, you'd find a major agreement with my statement.

Bottom line - You get what you pay for ('specially on ram at Fry's)

Me and my friends had brought many sticks of rams from Frys before, so far no problem what so ever.
I think if we actually do a poll there will be more votes for good cheap rams, I mean ppl only bitch when things don't work.

I'm waitin' to buy a 512MB PC2100 stick from Fry's on sale...so far I've only had one bad ram where it only registered half the memory. I've bought about 10 sticks in the past with no problems.

I always thought the cheap advertised memory at Fry's was a lost leader and or really cheap (as in not good) memory to get you in the store. The gal writing up the order would recite the disclaimer about it being "mixed chips" and gave no assurances about it's quality. This stuck me like an attorney who was washing her hands of an action you were about to commit. I wouldn't buy cheap memory at Fry's but hey if you all have had good luck with it, great.

I see Fry's is still selling the 80 gigger. I'm waiting for the rebate check. Quiet drive.

I'm definitely with DEFIANT1, in fact to memory I'll add the rest of their electronic/computer products. Over the course of shopping there for the last eight years or so, 90% of what I've brought home from Fry's either hasn't worked at all, has underperformed or died very very quickly. I just think this cannot be a coincidence. But as they say YMMV.

Good Luck.

um remember that next time your system crashes:) hehe

i've tried their cheapo ram a couple times, nothing but troubles. ordering from reputable online dealers like mushkin isn't much more at all, and the quality is defeintly far better:p
