Pretty good deal. What does everyone else think?

this is a pretty good deal for a reputable brand name tv thats 40" 1080p.

This 40" just replaced the 22" samsung monitor that was connected to my media center. I love it so far, i bought it at a store this week and i think its the lowest price in a while.

6000:1 contrast

Westinghouse:
response time ???
1000:1 contrast


thats one thing i saw right away but besides that the looks of the tv itself and quality.

Response time on the Westy is 6.5ms; Contrast is 1200:1.

Samsung's contrast ratio is dynamically rated. You can't simply compare them like that.

I got one of these LNS4095D, very nice tv, double as 1080p monitor. It has 2 HDMI, and one VGA.. no DVI though.
Also, the PIP doesn't work well. you can use PIP in component, hdmi, svideo, etc. you can only use with built-in tv tuner.
