The combo, at least in the Bay area is the AMD K6-3 333 with the FIC 503+ mobo for 74.00. The FIC is a better mobo than the Soyo mobo. I bought one of the combo's in aug for 74.00 and it's fast. The FIC 503+ will also take the AMD 450 3+ with the bios upgraded to je4330. I bought a 450 K6-3+ at PC Liquidators for 50.00 and have it running in my second computer in the FIC 503+ at 550 MHz with no extra cooling at 2.0 volts. It's a heckuva deal for 74.00 for that second computer if you have extra parts waiting to be assembled. The SKU for the combo is 2765733.

I got confused because last week Fry's had a similar deal, but with a mere K6-2. :(

Fry's also has $29.95 cases w/ 250W supply. It's an adequate case, and none of the power supplies (2 versions, 1 with a real on-off switch on back) have burned out (yet) in the ones bought by my friends and employer.

Fry's has been running a promo on those combos for quite some time. I have built systems with both FIC and Soyo boards.

The Soyo board is ATX, and, in my opinion, it was much more stable and overclockable than the FIC board.

However, the FIC board is Baby AT with both AT and ATX power connector, and it comes with 4 SIMM slots. It has been one of the best boards to upgrade old AT system, especially when the momory price was much higher than today. In fact, I have upgraded quite a few systems using it.
