I wasn't too sure about their GQ house brand dvd-r but I bought a spool on the cheap and haven't had any issues what so ever...

I have had nothing but bad luck with GQ media, so I would definitely never go for GQ for Dual Layer media...I only use Verbatim's for DL media.

I use their brand DVD quite often and have not had any issues at all. I don't use them for my important files though.

Fry's uses a lot of different media under their GQ brand. Some of these discs are perfectly acceptable, others are purely junk. I have had (mostly) decent luck, but I have not tried their dual layer.
