Answered my own question - NO! It is $135 at the store, wow!

That model isn't listed for my HP/Compaq Presario Notebook V2410US. Anyone know if it would work?

yeah, i don't really get laptop memory either.

like all these websites sell the ram like they would for reg desktops, making us think it's compatible as long as it's the right speed and pin #.

but then, for example, if you look on the kingston website, they have multiple ram sticks each with a different serial number at the same size/speed but supposedly are compatible with different notebooks.

anyone know if you HAVE to check the compatibility? is it like desktop ram where it WILL work, or is each model # different in some slight way?
