Pair up a $50 TV tuner USB and any video card = much better than a V3 3500.

The poster didn't say if this was an AGP or PCI card, but I bought a Voodoo3 3000 because it's one of the best PCI cards out there. (Why PCI --- 2nd monitor).
It has an excellent fast RAMDAC - according to reviews, better than the nvidia mx for 2d (gotta work sometimes...).

(Voodoo3 3500 has the same RAMDAC. 2000 is slower).

well, i wish there was a fry's around here so i could get it... that 2mx will get better game compatibility as time goes on, but i'm still playing my glide games and quite satisfied with my 3000 pci--the comp the 3500 would go in has a riva 128 that i play quake with now. like the dude above said it best--"it depends on what you need it for..." well said.

Why? When I can surf the net. Reply to post her on Anandtech at the same time or watch WWF The card is not that bad at all guys. Its like any other card out, yes it old now because its been out for a while but the TV, Radio and Game Playing all work/looks great and with a fast computer, decent amount of ram, and good drivers. This card still rocks in my book. Yes it might suck now compared to the new Video cards. But I still enjoy mine and Ill be the first person to tell you 3DF sucks both tech support and keeping drivers updated!!!

One of the reasons I went with 3DFX card is because it supported Glide and Geforce didnt and I wanted to play Tribes! Theres were alot of good glide games then that I wanted to play and only 3DFX had decent drivers. I dont even keep up with Video cards anymore, which thats not like me . After the first of the year i will upgrade video cards again. The only thing I dislike about the 3500 is when you upgrade you loose the radio and TV tuner. :|

They dont make a PCI Voodoo 3500 cards only a AGP version.

well, I went ahead a bought the damn thing. For 99 bucks you can go wrong plus the return policy. I had to search for one without the freaking return label. They probably don't put them on anyways. I haven't opened it but I bet I have a freakin diamond 2 meg virge with built in tv tuner. Oh well. I want to see if I can play my dream cast on it!

Thanks for the deal, went there, got last one in Fountain Valley Frys. Used, but oh well. Yeah, it was only $99.90 compared to Voodoo 3000 for $99.95 . Was hoping they lowered the 3000 as well. Thanks for the find. It may not be as fast as a GeForce 2, but at least it has video in and out.
