Fry's (in Dallas) has the Shuttle AV18e mobo & retail, boxed Tualatin-core Celeron 1Ghz CPU for $89.
This makes a great upgrade for an old PII system for the following reasons:
1) Celeron should easily run at 1.33 Ghz with a 133Mhz bus speed (I'm 2 for 2 with this combo) and the mobo has voltage in BIOS
2) A new power supply is not required as it might be with a new AMD system
3) System runs very cool with the stock HSF, even overclocked to 1.33Ghz
4) Includes 1 ISA slot in case you are stuck with an old card
5) New SSE instruction set should make some video encoding, etc. run faster
6) Can even use old PC100 memory (courtesy of Via chipset -33Mhz setting) in a pinch
I wouldn't build a new system with this myself, but it's great if you have an old ATX system that needs an inexpensive boost.
They run this sale from time to time, so keep an eye out for it at your local Fry's if you miss it this time.
