Lots of deals in today's Fry's ad, here are the ones that I thought stood out:

Sony 17" LCD - $350 - $50 MIR
- 1280 x 1024
- 20ms refresh
- Product link - Outpost.com link

Hitachi 160GB ($115 - $65 MIR) and 200GB ($180 - $90 MIR)
- 7200 rpm / 8 MB buffer (most everything is nowadays, huh?)
- Outpost.com link for the 200GB
- (no link for the 160GB yet)

Captain Generica 512MB PC2100 - $30, no rebates
- The one that I purchased has Hynix (sp?) chips

Your local prices may vary; these are from the Dallas, TX ad.

Don't seem to have any of those deals in the Bay Area ads :(

newspaperads.mercurynews.com has:

512Mb PC3200 Corsair $80-10

ECS+XP2400 $70

120Gb WD 8Mb/7200/UDMA-100 $109-50

Nothing else at all interesting, and I was in the mood to buy a new HD this weekend too, maybe I'll settle for the WD, although a couple of days ago they had 160Gb for $130-50 IIRC, I just want an $80-30 80Gb Maxtor deal again :(

FYI - all four of the Fry's stores in the area ran out of the RAM in as little as 4 hours. No rainchecks :(

IMO, that's hot!

BOOOOO on Fry's in the Phoenix area! They have it here for $139 - $65 MIR (cheap bastards). :(

wTH!? The Sony 17" for $300 AR? That can't be right. They had a deal on it like 2-3 weeks ago here for $449 AR. Had to the 15"

It's definitely the 17" All of the frys' in north Texas sold out within hours.

Fry's in CA has the Garmin eTrex Legend GPS unit (WAAS enabled w/ 8MB and data cable) for $139 (regular price is $199). Was looking for something to hook up to my laptop and this works perfectly. Love it!

Also, Corsair PC3200 DDR memory: $69.99 (after $10 rebate).

Most likely Value sticks but even at that price it's a good buy, IMO. I was going to get the Kingston Value for $80 after MIR but this is a better deal.

HDD deal is $74.99 after rebate at my Fry's -- that sucks, my fault since I missed the $50 AR deal this past January.

In CA (LA Times), they have the hyundai 17" (l70s) for 349 with no rebates. Not really as hot as when i got it for 279 AR about 7 months ago. But it is a really nice monitor and I'd recommend it.
