I saw this on The DFW ads. $140 with 40 MIR for the Corsair is hot. I just bought a single 1 GB Corsair Value Select VS2GBKIT400C3 from Chief Value for 80.00 with free shipping and tax for me. I still might have to get in on this deal. 50.00 per DIMM AR is a good deal. I don't know about OC abilities, but the timing is 3-3-3-8 according to ther Corsair website

free UPS is good for running cable modem and wireless off of, along with a couple external hard drives

Does this ram run okay in a DFI Nforce4 Ultra-D? I'd like a cheaper upgrade to 2GB but I know my board is ultra-picky.

It's also listed in the San Jose Mercury News. Also have the NVidia GeForce 5200 FAR ($50), and the Samsung 2010 Laser printer for $48 after $30 rebate.

The Ultra-D doesn't really like any value RAM, and Corsair is no exception. Some people have it working, but it seems that the majority of Ultra-D's will not work with this RAM. Sorry. :(

Yay, I got a pair of 3200 RAM. The rebate is good only for a purchase made on 12/26/2005 and must be postmarked within 14 days of purchase. The cashier said I had 14 days to return the RAM if I didn't want it as well.

Wish me luck! It is 6:20am and I'm getting ready to head out to the San Diego Fry's, hoping to score some cheap RAM as well as a couple other items (Sempron/mobo, etc).

I parked my car 5 minutes before they opened and saw the line going across the building. No problem I thought... until I walked to the edge of the building and saw the line snaking all the way around the side and to the back!!! If anybody has been to the San Diego Fry's, you know how big that building is (was an Incredible Universe store BITD). I was probably around 400-something in line and in the minutes before the line started moving, probably at least another 200+ got in line behind me.

I scored the RAM as well as some other stuff. The Sempron 3100+ with motherboard deal for $90 is cold because they are bundling the OEM CG core (130nm) so it won't be that great an overclocker - heck this CPU may max out before the ECS motherboard - that's how bad.

The eVGA FX5200 $FAR was OOS. They claim to have had them and pointed out the endcap spot, but there weren't any labels and I got there just before they opened to stand in line. I didn't see anybody with them but people were carrying other stuff.

I also scored the Belkin UPS $FAR, but may return it when I return the mobo/CPU. Reason is that it is heavy and I have to fly back to ORD tomorrow morning. WTF was I thinking to get such a bulky and heavy item for taking on the plane? :disgust:

wow crazy. I was at the brokaw one @ 725. hardly anyone.

I just grabbed the memory and once upon a time in china. the computer showed some 300 left of the memory. check out was a pain only because the person directing which register to go to started telling too many people to go to few open registers.

didn't look for the video card, didn't need/want it.

brokaw was stupid in making me line up to get my print out even though I was the only one there and the guy was holding my print. the kid was like oh you need to get in line, I'm like dude your holding my print out. wouldn't give it till I got in the stupid empty line and the guy calls me name.

must be a new employee.

Thanks! I saw the online price was $149 AR prior to adding it to my cart and was going to drive over and duke it out at Fry's. Saved me a trip!

Dude I know exactly what you mean. I was there at 630am. I got the RAM and he had my printout. It was so cool cause when the guy asked what I wanted, I just said "4700789". That's the actual PLU number for the item...haha.

THEY RAN OUT OF THE SUBWOOFERS! Damn it....all good...always next time.
