ouch. I'm glad my A7N8X only offers up to 1.85v in order to restrict me. Yeah anything over 1.85v is just overdoing it. Sorry man. PS: Why did you buy a 2400+ if you are still using SDRAM and a voodoo 5.... Address those bottlenecks first before u run out and buy a 200 dollar processor.

I took the thing to 2.54ghz
heat was not at issue
I just booted it up after a day of being off and found it to no longer be stable at 2v so i bumped it up to 2.05
and that pretty much secured it's death
can't boot it now at any speed/voltage

my 1700+ T-bred b runs fine at 2.15v
guess it's just the luck of the drawl

it was the perfect seti machine
/me wipes a tear from his eye
thanks THUGSROOK

yikes! And here I am nervously running my 1700+ at 1.675V! I don't have the balls to run mine at anything over 1.75V (the fact that this damn chip is very unstable above 1.75V is also a good reason ;) ).

I think people should have taken note when the P4s started biting the dust from overvolting, anything higher than 1.725 to 1.75 is going to far.

That's a bit more than usual for people. Ever think of cutting back on your overclocking just a WEE bit? Overclocking your processor to DEATH is kind of self-defeating, isn't it? I mean, an overclocked 2400+ is always going to be faster than a stock 2400+, until it's dead that is. At which point the stock 2400+ pulls ahead.
