Ever since we went wireless in my household a few years ago, we have had all sorts of problems with the internet. Sometimes it goes so terribly slow that it's impossible to use, and an even more frustrating problem is that I will periodically get kicked off of internet games once every hour or two. We have a Linksys Wireless-B router, which I think may be the problem, but I want to make sure there's no fix for it before I go out and buy a new one.
The setup is pretty simple. The router and modem are downstairs, and there are three computers and two laptops connected to it. My computer is upstairs, but the signal strength is being reported as excellent, so I don't think that is the problem. I can't figure out what causes me to get kicked from games for the life of me. Could it be that I need a new router? Or can the problem be fixed with the one I currently have?
If you need any more information, I'll be glad to supply it. Thanks for any help,
