Today at work I wanted to quit my job. I always wear a pedometer while I am working, and today I definitely walked 8.9 miles in one ten hour day. This is not because it is necessary, but because of all the morons that I have to deal with every day of my life. Not only do others not pull their weight, they risk the lives of patients every day and I'm tired of being stuck in the middle. Patients deserve better care than what they get at a State Institution where there is not money to hire quality help. I think it is time I move onto bigger and better opportunities where my license is not on the line at least once a week.

Think this belongs in OT... unless you are close to a hardware failure 🙂.

There you go. Thanks to YOyoYOhowsDAjello and the Mods, it got moved. Find another job while still working this job.

Welcome to AT. I just PM-ed a mod to see if they can move this to Off Topic for you.

EDIT:  😀

If you can take a few days off to relax, that would be great. Maybe everything's just built up and you've gotten overwhelmed?

If that's not the case and you really hate your job, start looking for another one. Don't quit until you find one, though.

Good luck!

you might need vacation of some time off.

start looking for a new job and make sure you have one before oyu leave this one.

🙂

What does walking 8.9 miles have to do with anything? That's good for you...

I hear you. I used to walk 5 miles daily for exercise, but chasing after call lights and the numerous trips I make to the med room, stock room and lab have made that a thing of the past. I've begun to consider pushing the med cart as cardio training. 🙂
