fruit flies!?

So I went to take out my kitchen garbage today and I noticed a couple of flies on the top and when I opened a 'swarm' came out and now I have a ton o' fruit flies in my kitchen 🙁. What do I do to get rid of the freakin things? Can wasn't even full, they must've loved something in there.
 
I find that doing a search helps me get rid of my fruit flies. 😉

I know there have been threads before about this. I'll go search for them since you haven't already...

fruit flies are not unsanitary to my knowledge.. they're just like ants (they may be annoying but they're not bacterrial or carry germs like Roaches)

get rid of them.. real flies are just annoying
