FRS/GMRS Walkie Talkies

FRS/GMRS 2-way radios used to be so popular. Now a days, I don't see much talk about them. Are they still being used?

I used to be so fascinated with them especially on road trips with 2 or more vehicles.

Anyone use one lately?

i have a pair, but these days the kids all have cell phones and just text each other, so they don't get much use

The proliferation of cell phones has made FRS/GMRS radios less ""useful" to the average person. Also, if used legally GMRS radio use requires a license.
