Officials at the hospital said the Brazilian Wandering Spider was unlikely to pose a risk to public health since it "would have died very soon after being released" because of the cold

WTF? It was frozen, then had boiling water dumped on it THEN PUT IN A MICROWAVE!

and they think it cant survive an english spring?

Damn, I'm afraid of anything that can be frozen, boiled, and microwaved and doesn't die.

I know they just run on instinct and can't truly plot revenge, but supposing it could, that spider would be looking for some payback for sure.

moving down the street, humming "break stuff" by Limp Bizkit, attacking random pets, etc...

Here's a site for spider freaks such as me. I love spiders but my palms sweat when them damn fast spiders surprise me. Don't get me wrong, I reside in FL and play with Black Widows, I just don't like the fast ground bastard spiders! You open up your medicine cabinet at 5am in the morning and have one right in front of you face the size of a 5 1/4 speaker!! Trust me, you'd jump too!
Put your two thumbs together tip to tip along with your two middle fingers and make a circle! (Big as a tarantula and 50x faster) Yea', these spiders get HUGE! Faster than the fastest cockroach. Take your eye off one & it will be gone when you look back!

Here in FL we call them huntsman or housekeeper spiders. I once caught a big Palmetto bug (HUGE roach for you northerners) and held him in front of one of these big spiders. As soon as I touched the spiders leg with the roach, it grabbed onto it with all 8 legs and tumbled untill it got a grasp of it.

This type of spider does not make a web like most but actually goes out looking for prey, most of the times though, it will just stay still with all legs stretched out near an outside light & grab anything that brisks its legs. I've seen them take small tree frogs!

The pics look small but trust me, this 'aint no small spider! **LMAO**

I am so freaked out. I am moving to NYC, to the 50th floor of the Trump Tower. Rather be haunted by gigantic rats in the subway than monstrous spiders.
