you'd have to make an image. or use dhtml, but i doubt frontpage could do that for you.

<< Frontpage is for wussies. >>

Agreed.

Real men use an editor like EditPlus and stick to W3C standards :)

frontpage will not do what you want (i don't think so at least). what you need is a graphics program that lets you generate a gradient fill of the color you want and then specifiy that gradient fill image as your common background image.

Only way to do it in FP is to have something like Photoshop, make an image the size of the page you want and then do a gradiant fill. I agree that FP sucks for web design. It generates alot of extraneous code. If you're a slave to the GUI like me, try Dreamweaver.

<< whats editPlus like? does it cost money? >>

It's an editor for textfiles and a few dozen programming languages, with syntax-coloring, automatic spacing and more. It costs $30 US.

I recommend conText and Jext if you don't want to pay any money, they offer about the same functionality as EditPlus, yet are free. Use Google to find these programs.

Download a free 30 day trial at Macromedia.com and see if you like Dreamweaver 4. Or for that matter, just download, do your page and not have to purchase it.

yah, if you are going to use a wysiwyg editor, try dreamweaver. But try to actually learn the html code too. I can't stand it when i meet people that made their own webpage with an editor but has no idea what html tags are. hmph!
