FrontPage alternatives?

Paste Special is hurting my wrist. I wish I could just set up my FrontPage to behave the way I want. Any good freeware editors with decent interface customization?? Thanks.

I do not know of any free editors like Frontpage. I know frontpage isnt free so. You might want to learn the code, that way you can do more stuff eassly. I like EditPad for html/php/scripts. If you want to try a very nice application, then head on over to Adobe for the trail of dreamweaver, i remember when macromedia used to own this, and it was very nice. I am not sure on this new version. I may be as easy as frontpage.. Enjoy....

Yes, Dreamweaver is very good, but it isn't cheap. Since you already use Frontpage, I would suggest that you look into the new and renamed version called Expression Web. I gave the free trial a whirl and it seemed very nice. The upgrade is very reasonably priced, and the program is much more standards compliant than Frontpage. I believe that PC Magazine just named it their Editor's Choice for this type of program.

The only reason that I stuck with Dreamweaver is that I've been using it for several years now.

Thanks, i should have mentioned this is for work. I use Dreamweaver at home for my own work. But in the Office all they have is FrontPage and it's driving me crazy. I know the code. What i'm doing is fairly basic, but requires speed. So editors work faster that my fingers type. And I doubt they're gonna buy a copy of Dreamweaver or even upgrade FrontPage.

So, looking for very basic yet functional editors. Freeware, or Shareware, or a Trial of a cheap program that my boss can "afford."
