Hello all...

I'm working on a web page for the local school district. I guess that is what I get for being a teacher with computer knowledge. :)

Here is my problem. I have created the page, and I can connect to the front page server and upload all of my stuff from HOME. I want to be able to do some of the work here at school, but I can't seem to connect to the server. It keeps asking form my name/pass.

Now it gets stranger. If I create the web, and save it locally, I can update the pages using the Microsoft Web Publishing wizard that comes with windows! The only difference that I can see is that it allows to enter a domain name when I publish in that method. When I do not put in the domain name, it acts just like FP2000?

Can anyone shed some light on this one? Is it a networking question?

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to log into you web site for downloading from anywhere as long as you know the login ID (Username) and password to your domain. If you don't know your IP address of your site, just ping your domain name from a DOS prompt to get it. Then enter that IP into any FTP software so you can login to your account.

Transfer all the files from your directory within FP2k and you should see it appear in your browser when your finished.
