front/sub just makes high pitched noise

[cubeless]

plugged in to the center/sub with new earforce headphones, and tried to use the nvaudio wizard to set up... i get the 2 front and 2 back (like i have been using) but the center and sub just emit a high pitched squeal... plugged other speakers into the c/s jack, and get same thing...

anyone else hit this? is the k-module bad or the mobo?

i'm gonna try reinstalling the driver... (no change after driver reinstall...)
